How to Dose your Infused Coconut Oil [4qlwOQcMu]

Using cannabis infused ingredients is a fun alternative way to consume THC in a safe and healthy way if done properly. We have already covered how to make our infused coconut oil, the next step is to learn how to safely dose and portion out the correct amount for your level of cannabis consumption.  Every 1 gram(g) of cannabis flower is equal to 1000 milligrams(mg). Next you must know the THC percentage that is in your cannabis; this can usually be found on the label of your cannabis (if you do not know the specific number, 10-15% is a good guess). For our cannabis we have 15% THC, which is multiplied by the amount of mg you are using to find out how many mg of THC it will yield per gram of flower. For our infused coconut oil we used 10 grams of flower per 250g/ml (~1.15 US cups) of coconut oil.  This means that every gram of flower is equal to 150mg of THC, which would give us 1500mg for the 250g/ml. This yields 6mg per gram/milliliter of oil used. To get amount per serving, simply take the total mg of THC and divide by how many servings you plan on making. Cooking and eating with THC and other topical forms can be a new option for cannabis consumption for many so we recommend to start off with 5-10mg THC per serving for beginners and taking more as needed.
