Habitual Cannabis Use and Cardiovascular Function [vk999BgDu]
Recently, the Human Performance and Health Research Lab at the University of Guelph published a study examining the cardiovascular effects of habitual cannabis use. The study examined arterial stiffness, vascular endothelial function, and cardiac function in cannabis users and non-users. They found that cannabis users had greater arterial stiffness and altered cardiac mechanics compared to non-users. These findings suggest that cannabis users may be at greater risk for the future development of cardiovascular disease.
